At the end of 2024 we had dental x-ray equipment installed at both the Biggar and Peebles branches.![]()

This equipment was installed as some studies show that not using dental x-rays can result in 25-40% of important clinical pathology being missed.![]()

As importantly as the new equipment all our vets have now undertaken extra dental training with recognised specialists in order to optimise dental treatment for our patients.![]()

We are trialling during the months of September and October giving our vets the ability to use dental x-rays (where necessary) at no cost to you as clients. ![]()

The above is part of a clinical audit procedure to see if automatically using dental x-rays leads to better clinical outcomes.![]()

We had a fantastic day on Saturday at Peebles Show. It was good to see so many clients in a social rather than a veterinary setting.🍻🍾![]()

As well as the show we had a busy day on call in Peebles with 4 successful calvings, 3 equine emergencies and 2 dog emergencies (well done to the sheep, pigs, cats and small furries for behaving themselves!).![]()

A big thank you to the show committee as the amount of work undertaken to make the show the huge success that it is cannot be underestimated. We're looking forward to next year already!
